Confocal movie of a Colloidal Bicrystal with a Σ5 Grain boundary: At the bottom layer the structure of the colloidal crystal is defined by a template and shows an almost perfect structure. With increasing distance the grain boundary gets more and more disturbed and finally a third grain evolves in the upper layers.
