Donhee Ham is John L. Loeb Associate Professor of the Natural Sciences at Harvard University, where he is with the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He received the B.S. degree in physics in 1996 from Seoul National University, Korea, graduating with Presidential Honor atop the Natural Science College. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from California Institute of Technology in 2002, winning the Charles Wilts Doctoral Thesis Prize, Best thesis award in EE. His doctoral work examined statistical physics of electrical circuits. He was the recipient of the Caltech Li Ming Scholarship and IBM Graduate Research Fellowship. He was also the recipient of the 2003 IBM Faculty Partnership Award. He shared Harvard's Hoopes prize in 2003 with William Andress. Donhee Ham's work expriences also include Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO), IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, IEEE conference technical program committess including International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC), and industry/government technical advisory positions on subjects including ultrafast electronics and science & technology at the nanoscale. He is a co-editor of CMOS Biotechnology with Springer. Ham's current research focus is on (1) RF/microwave, analog & mixed-signal ICs, (2) ultrafast 1-dimensional electron transport, (3) soliton electronics, (4) applications of CMOS ICs in biotechnology, and (5) nonequilibrium statistical physics of active electrical circuits. |
